Petplan Equine Ambassador and full-time veterinary surgeon Katie Preston never seems to stop. She balances a busy work schedule at Milbourn Equine Vets with caring for and riding her three horses; Templar Justice (TJ), Dreams Come True (Tia) and Templar Juno (Juno). Katie’s horses live out all year round including her five-star event horse TJ, who has competed at Burghley, Badminton and Luhmühlen. Like many of us, Katie has her own personal methods to help her horses through the warmer summer months.

Working mother, Nicky Bevan, is grateful to her parents, husband, family, friends and trainers, who have helped her to qualify and prepare for Badminton with 14-year-old Rhineroe Hero aka Noah. Nicky had previously competed a thoroughbred, but after the birth of her daughter Molly, now nine, she decided she needed something more sensible to hunt and compete, as well as hack with Molly. Jessie Vanassche and Da Vinci II aka DV head to Badminton for the Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE100 Final with the aim of improving on their 2016 result, when they finished second in the BE90 Final. Based on the Isle of Wight nearly all competitions involve a 45 minute ferry crossing to the mainland. Read more

Tara Keoshgerian is based in East Sussex and keeps her horse Muchwood Comanche aka Buddy in Lingfield, Surrey at Brook Staples’ yard. This is her first time competing in the Mitsubishi Motors Cup and she is very excited to be going. Read more
Eighteen-year-old Ellie Barnard from Heathfield in East Sussex is heading to Badminton to compete in the Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE90 competition with her own eight-year-old, Templar Esprit. Ellie’s family bought Templar Esprit aka Pogga as a just backed four-year-old and she has produced him herself, completing their first BE90 at Brightling in 2015. Read more
When Nikki Collins isn’t busy working as Trade Sales Manager for Spillers she’s diligently keeping her homebred mare Tilly fit for eventing. This year her dedication has paid off as she has qualified for the prestigious Mitsubishi Motors Cup (formerly Badminton Grassroots Championships). She attributes her passion and determination to her inspiring, horse loving Mum, who sadly lost her battle against bowel cancer in 2014.
