Double Celebration on 2nd Day of Horse of the Year Show

It was a special win for HOYS Supreme Champion Jayne Ross on Thursday 3rd October when she took the Small Show Hunter of the Year title for the first time with the six-year-old Church Rock Cashel. The fairytale endings continued in the show ring when sisters Amy and Vikki Smith took the top two spots in the Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Pony Championship exceeding 143cm, with Amy and the Connemara Laburnum Richard standing Champions. The Dressage Future Eite Championship has grown in popularity since it was first introduced at HOYS a few years ago and this year proved the quality of future dressage superstars in this country is improving year on year, with Charlotte Dujardin taking the title for the fourth year running, this year partnering Mount St John Valencia.

It was an evening of rare treats for the enthusiastic home crowd at the College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe, Bedfordshire on Sunday 17th March 2019. An all-star cast descended upon the venue to do battle in the hotly-contested Equine Construction Grand Prix Freestyle, and though the final scores were tight at the top, British stalwart Carl Hester managed to edge the win from teammate Charlotte Dujardin. Defending champions, Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, lived up to expectations when winning the Grand Prix on the opening day of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage 2014/2015 Final at the Thomas & Mack Centre in Las Vegas, USA today (17th April 2015).The reigning Olympic, World and European title-holders produced a brilliant test to finish over six marks ahead of The Netherlands’ Edward Gal and Glock’s Undercover, but the big hero of the day was America’s Steffen Peters who lined up third with Legolas just over two marks further adrift.

Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro swept to victory with the greatest of ease at the sixth leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2014/2015 Western European League series in Amsterdam, The Netherlands today. The 29-year-old rider only returned from New Zealand a few days ago after presenting Masterclasses in Hamilton and Christchurch, and admitted to feeling “seriously jet-lagged”. But such is the exceptional relationship she has with the 13-year-old Valegro that she only fell 0.4 points short of the world-record Freestyle score the pair set at Olympia, London in December when coming out on top by a considerable margin again in the afternoon.

Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro produced a performance close to perfection when winning tonight’s Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2014/2015 Western European League qualifier at Olympia in London (GBR) with yet another world-record-breaking score. They set the previous record at the same venue 12 months ago when posting a mark of 93.975, but this evening earned 94.300 for an even more spell-binding display of harmony between horse and rider. And this latest triumph came just 24 hours after the dynamic duo beat their own world record in the Grand Prix in which Edward Gal and Glock’s Undercover from the Netherlands also had to settle for runner-up spot.

Nominations for Reem Acra Fei World Cup Dressage Leg at Olympia Horse Show Announced.

The world’s most successful dressage partnership, Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro are amongst the nominations for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Leg supported by Horse & Hound at Olympia, The London International Horse Show on 16-22 December 2014. It will be the first time Valegro has competed in the UK this year.

Dujardin, who was crowned Sunday Times & Sky Sports Sportswoman of the Year yesterday, last competed on Valegro in the UK at Olympia Horse Show in 2013. The formidable pair not only won both the World Cup Grand Prix and Freestyle but sent the Olympia audience into raptures by setting a new freestyle World Record with their London 2012 routine. Since then, Dujardin has added even more titles to her already impressive record, by winning the Reem Acra FEI World CupTM Final in April before taking the World Championship title in Normandy in August.

Dujardin and Valegro make it a back-to-back Reem Acra double in Amsterdam

Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro were like an unstoppable force as they marched to another spectacular victory at the fifth leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Western European League series in Amsterdam, The Netherlands today.  With a mark of 91.275, the Olympic double-gold and individual European Championship winning partnership were 2.7 points short of the world-record Freestyle score they posted at the previous leg at Olympia, London in December.  But today’s result underpins their position at the very top of their game, and sets them firmly on the road to the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Final at Lyon, France in April.
