April’s NAF Shining Star has been awarded to 14-year old Saskia Mohan from Kirtlington, Oxfordshire. Saskia has combined her drive for progression and her positive attitude to become an integral member of the Central Junior Academy and this has led to her successful nomination for the NAF Shining Star Award. British Showjumping’s Spring Championships took place at Addington Manor from 22nd to 25th March, giving members four days of jumping and eight championship titles to aim for.
The courses, which were designed by London 2012 course designer Bob Ellis and Nigel Jess, gave some great competition across the shows entirety with members also thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to jump some of the former Olympic Games fences.
Jade Meekings from Felsted in Essex took the Silver League Championship on board her own palomino mare, Pauls Lass. The Irish-bred 12-year-old ‘Gracie’ joined Jade five years ago as her first horse. Read more

Valkenswaard United Rocket up the Rankings after GCL Hamburg win
Valkenswaard United’s formidable duo of John Whitaker (GBR) and Bertram Allen (IRL) rocketed up the Global Champions League team rankings after a stunning win in Hamburg on 6th May 2016. This was the first time two teams finished on a score of zero and the temperature rose as the riders’ combined time came into play to determine the final order providing a fascinating nail-biting finish to the 1.55m two round competition. Valkenswaard United now sit on 130 points overall, with Monaco Aces on 119 points and Antwerp Diamonds close behind on 116 points overall.
