The 2015 SEIB Search for a Star and Racehorse to Riding Horse Dates
The 2015 series of the popular SEIB Insurance Brokers (SEIB) Search for a Star and the SEIB Racehorse to Riding Horse Show Championship will begin in April 2015 with five qualifiers throughout the country. Search for a Star was created by SEIB to encourage amateur riders to produce their horses to a high standard in the show ring and giving them the opportunity to compete at the prestigious finals at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). SEIB has a strong ethos of putting something back into equestrian sport and the company takes an enthusiastic interest in all the competitions they sponsor.
Last April, the news that the Eventing Grand Prix was no longer to be held at Hickstead was met by widespread disappointment. Now, the Directors of the All England Jumping Course are delighted to announce a return of the class for this season, with a new and exciting format.

British Showjumping Non-Executive Board Director Nicky Roche appointed to The Board of UK Sport
The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Sajid Javid has appointed Nicky Roche and John Dowson to the Board of UK Sport.
Nicky Roche CBE is a Non-Executive Director of British Showjumping and was Chief Executive of TdF Hub 2014 Ltd, the company established by Government and UK Sport to co-ordinate the Grand Depart and stages two and three of the 2014 Tour de France, which took place in the UK.
Buckinghamshire based rider, Hannah Maskell has become the youngest person ever to win Endurance GB’s Supreme Champion Trophy at just 15 years of age.
This trophy is awarded to the horse and rider combination gaining the most points in all types of competitions run by Endurance GB over the 2014 season, which runs from Marchto October. In addition to this accolade, Hannah also holds the Young Rider National title which she won at Cirencester Park this year.
Richard Meade (GBR) OBE, triple Olympic gold Eventing champion, former member of the FEI Bureau, FEI Eventing Committee and Chairman of Group II (Northern Europe), has passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 76 years old.
He became the first British athlete to win individual Eventing gold at the Munich 1972 Olympic Games, after making his Olympic début in Tokyo eight years earlier.
