At the beginning of March 2019, British Showjumping completed on the purchase of Home Farm, Hothorpe in Leicestershire with the plans for it to become the National Training Centre for the sport.
Acquiring and developing a National Training Centre has been an ambition for the Sport over the past ten years and it is with great delight that British Showjumping are now able to announce that such a superb facility has been secured.

Claudia Moore won the Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifiers at Arena UK over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd March. The qualifiers were held at Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire during the 148cm Pony Premier Show.
British-based para-dressage rider, Bert Sheffield, who rides for Canada, and her 10-year-old, home-produced, part-bred Gelderlander mare, Fairuza (known affectionately as ‘Wonky’ at home), pulled out all the stops at the recent CPEDI3* invitational competition at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar, to win the Grade III Freestyle on the final day with a score of 70.167%.
Harry Bateman took the top spot in the Final Champagne Cave Winter Grades B & C Qualifier at South View Equestrian Centre on Friday 22nd February 2019.
The weekend of 22nd to 24th February saw the last show of the Winter Classic Series at South View Equestrian Centre in Cheshire. The event played host to a number of final qualifiers including The Champagne Cave Winter Grades B&C Championship Qualifier.
The SEIB Insurance Brokers Burghley Sponsored Ride will take place on the final day of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials on Sunday 8th September 2019. Entries for this popular event opened on Tuesday 19th March and will be taken on the ride website. This will be the 18th running of the ride which over the years has raised well in excess of £250,000 for good causes.

The Junior team, under the watchful eye of Chef d’Equipe Tony Newbery, put in some outstanding performances on 8th April 2019 in the Junior Nations Cup at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek to claim the title after a two-way third round jump-off.
Competing under the sponsor banner of Team NAF, the four-strong squad were robust from the start with two of the four jumping clear in the first round and the team having to carry just 4 penalties through. This saw them sit in joint 2nd place, after all eleven nations had jumped in the first round, alongside Belgium and Ireland whilst Germany held the lead on a zero-penalty score.
An enjoyable two days under the SouthView Equestrian Centre team made for a successful British Showjumping Winter Pony Championships at the popular Cheshire venue.
It was a successful start to the season for the British Pony squad, competing under the title sponsor banner of Team LeMieux, at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek in Belgium on the afternoon of 8th April 2019.
Eight teams came forward to contest the twelve obstacles of the Nations Cup course. The open water was testing for some, but not as much as the final straight which took in a treble followed by a related distance to the final fence, an oxer going away from home.
