It was a day of celebration for Oxfordshire-based rider, Christina Brooks, and her 16-year-old Fell stallion, Guards Jester, who stood Supreme Champion in the Senior In- Hand Showing Series Championships at the 2015 Olympia Horse Show on their very first appearance.
Dujardin and Valegro set Olympia alight with a double of new world records

Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro produced a performance close to perfection when winning tonight’s Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2014/2015 Western European League qualifier at Olympia in London (GBR) with yet another world-record-breaking score. They set the previous record at the same venue 12 months ago when posting a mark of 93.975, but this evening earned 94.300 for an even more spell-binding display of harmony between horse and rider. And this latest triumph came just 24 hours after the dynamic duo beat their own world record in the Grand Prix in which Edward Gal and Glock’s Undercover from the Netherlands also had to settle for runner-up spot.
Nominations for Reem Acra Fei World Cup Dressage Leg at Olympia Horse Show Announced.
The world’s most successful dressage partnership, Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro are amongst the nominations for the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Leg supported by Horse & Hound at Olympia, The London International Horse Show on 16-22 December 2014. It will be the first time Valegro has competed in the UK this year.
Dujardin, who was crowned Sunday Times & Sky Sports Sportswoman of the Year yesterday, last competed on Valegro in the UK at Olympia Horse Show in 2013. The formidable pair not only won both the World Cup Grand Prix and Freestyle but sent the Olympia audience into raptures by setting a new freestyle World Record with their London 2012 routine. Since then, Dujardin has added even more titles to her already impressive record, by winning the Reem Acra FEI World CupTM Final in April before taking the World Championship title in Normandy in August.
Laura Tomlinson’s dressage superstar ‘Alf’ to say farewell at this year’s Olympia, the London International Horse Show
Laura Tomlinson (née Bechtolsheimer) will pay tribute to her long-standing dressage partner, Mistral Højris – more fondly known as Alf – during a special moment in the evening program on Tuesday 17 December 2013 to celebrate the superstar’s retirement.
For the first time in forty years the UK will get the chance to witness one of the most outstanding displays of horsemanship in the world. The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art is one of only four* ‘High Schools’ of its kind and it’s show has become so prestigious that it attracts visitors from all over the world to its home in Jerez De La Frontera, south-west Spain. This December they are coming to London to perform at Olympia, The London International Horse Show, to bring a touch of Spanish magic to one of the oldest shows on the international circuit.
This year’s Royal County of Berkshire Show (21st – 22nd September) has some great equestrian action on the schedule!
From Heavy Horses through to Scurry Driving and Royal International Horse Show & Olympia qualifiers, the show also celebrates the diversity of the equine population with a range of showing classes from Shetlands and Highlands, Mountain & Moorlands through to Cleveland Bays and Friesians.
