Tara Keoshgerian is based in East Sussex and keeps her horse Muchwood Comanche aka Buddy in Lingfield, Surrey at Brook Staples’ yard. This is her first time competing in the Mitsubishi Motors Cup and she is very excited to be going.
Tara bought Buddy in December 2016 and four months later finished fourth in the BE90 Open at Chilham. The combination are rarely out of the placings, winning at Goring heath, before finishing the season with a fourth place at Munstead in the BE90 Regional Final.
Tara and Buddy have been training hard in preparation for the Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE90 competition and Tara feel’s Buddy’s dressage and show jumping has improved over the winter. They have been to the gallops and cross country schooling.
Tara is looking forward to taking part in the guided course walks at Badminton as she feels it will be a great experience to walk the course with top event riders. She is also looking forward to competing at such a prestigious venue. Tara will be joined by many family and friends who will be coming to watch and support the pair, as well as Buddy’s old owner.
Buddy is quit a character and Tara said: “His favourite party trick is undoing the zips on everyone’s coats and trying to take hats off people’s heads.” Tara added, that she has to get straight on him when she gets him out of the lorry at an event as he’s not very good at standing still and can get quite excited when he sees the cross country jumps.
