A Tour of the Sussex Equine Hospital

In summer 2017 the Sussex Equine Hospital moved from its original home in Arundel
(formerly known as the Arundel Equine Hospital) to a purpose-built site in Ashington, near Pulborough. Fiona Rafferty went along to tour the impressive facilities.

The Sussex Equine Hospital was founded in 1951 and since that time has grown to a team of 55 including 20 specialist equine vets, veterinary nurses, grooms, laboratory technicians, pharmacy dispensers and a whole team of administrative staff who help with the smooth running of the busy hospital. SEIB clients vote for the BHS to receive £50K

SEIB Insurance Brokers hosted their inaugural Charity Awards luncheon at the Grange City Hotel, London on the 23rd April. SEIB’s Chief Executive Officer, Barry Fehler presented a cheque for £50,000 and a commemorative plaque to Emma Day and Gemma Stanford of the British Horse Society (BHS). SEIB customers voted for the Healthcare on Tour project from the winning charity, the BHS, to be the recipient of this generous grant. Read more

‘Celebrating The Turf’ – An Exhibition of Contemporary Equestrian Art

‘Celebrating the Turf’ takes place from 18th June to 7th July 2018 at the Osborne Studio Gallery. This exhibition of some of the finest contemporary equestrian art has been organised to coincide with Royal Ascot.

Geoffrey Hughes, Director of Osborne Studio Gallery, is a lover of horse racing and the racing world. For at least twenty five years he has held an annual show of the best contemporary equestrian art during Ascot Week. Read more

Alex Monro to Ride in Charity Race at Epsom

Alex Monro, director of Mole Energy Switching (www.moleenergy.com), has picked up the gauntlet by volunteering to ride in a very special horse race, the Pertemps Champions Willberry Charity Derby, being held at Epsom Racecourse, home of the Derby, on Monday 27th August 2018, to raise money for the Willberry the Wonder Pony Charity and The Bob Champion Cancer Trust. Young Hannah Francis founded the Willberry charity once she herself was diagnosed with cancer. Tragically Hannah died in 2016, but her charity continues to inspire people and raise money to support vital research and grant equine related wishes to seriously ill people. Bob Champion was himself both a very successful jockey and a cancer sufferer. Read more
