A new record was set at the Magic Millions Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park when both the British Intermediate and Novice Champions retained their titles.

Tom McEwen was masterful when leading from flagfall on Barbara Cooper’s elegant grey Dreamaway ll to score a second successive victory in the Smith & Williamson British Intermediate Championship and Francis Whittington produced an accomplished performance on Sarah Arrowsmith’s Brother Bertie to defend his Dodson & Horrell British Novice Championship title. HRH Princess Anne Launches 50th Anniversary Tartan for Riding for RDA

A new tartan has been produced by Lachcarron of Scotland in celebration of 50 years of Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) providing therapy through horses.

The tartan was launched at an anniversary event in Edinburgh by RDA President, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal. The Princess met with volunteers and participants from around the country and was presented with her very own RDA tartan scarf by brothers Andrew and William McLeod. Read more

Adventurer and animal whisperer Emma Massingale, from Holsworthy in Devon is once again embarking on a ground-breaking trip that no-one has ever attempted before. This time she is planning a 1000 mile cycle across Europe. “Interesting”, you might say, “Yet surely not unique?”. But Emma, in her inimitable style, has given the challenge her own, particular twist, by commissioning a custom made tricycle, in which she will carry two new equine friends and her dog Inca, as she pedals from Switzerland back to the UK, following the River Rhine. British Showjumping announce plans of a National Training Centre

At the beginning of March 2019, British Showjumping completed on the purchase of Home Farm, Hothorpe in Leicestershire with the plans for it to become the National Training Centre for the sport.

Acquiring and developing a National Training Centre has been an ambition for the Sport over the past ten years and it is with great delight that British Showjumping are now able to announce that such a superb facility has been secured.

Wonky Wows for Bert at Al Shaqab

British-based para-dressage rider, Bert Sheffield, who rides for Canada, and her 10-year-old, home-produced, part-bred Gelderlander mare, Fairuza (known affectionately as ‘Wonky’ at home), pulled out all the stops at the recent CPEDI3* invitational competition at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar, to win the Grade III Freestyle on the final day with a score of 70.167%.
