Cerys Withey won the 95cm Qualifier at Barleylands Equestrian Centre

Cerys Withey and Apart EA

Kent’s Cerys Withey riding Samantha Withey’s Apart EA won the Dodson & Horrell 95cm National Amateur Second Round at Barleylands Equestrian Centre in Essex, qualifying for the hugely popular Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, which will be held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool from 13th to 18th November.

26 combinations came forward for the nine fence first round track and only three were lost on the way to make a hot, 23 strong jump-off.

Cerys negotiated the quickest route, taking all the shortcut options to win by 1.35 seconds on Apart EA, a Dutch-bred 13-year-old she has competed since December.
