This year’s (2015) Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) will be sweetened by the appearance of 6 divas with their larger than life performance. The HoneyBuns, from Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) fame, will be performing in the Andrews Bowen International Arena on Sunday evening as part of the finale.
The HoneyBuns will be performing 4 songs to entertain the audience and help draw HOYS 2015 to a spectacular close. The girls’ positive attitude and bubbly personalities shine through as viewers witnessed on BGT earlier this year.
The HoneyBuns were formed when all of the girls – Corrin, Jess, Jodie, Kate, Rosie and Sacha met at a slimming club and found they all had performing in common. The confident young ladies thought that by starting a girl group they could inspire others to be comfortable in their own skin and to believe in themselves.
One member of The HoneyBuns, Corrin Knox, has a close affiliation with HOYS. Corrin is the daughter of HOYS commentator Carey Knox and has herself competed at the Show. Corrin used to ride and show ponies and has previously placed 4th at HOYS on her 12.2hh Cottrell Fanfare.
Corrin is also a talented milliner and many of her creations were worn by competitors in HOYS Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship, including the 2014 winner, Jessie Howell.
“We are thrilled to be performing at Horse of the Year Show in October, it is such a prestigious event with a very large and loyal audience and we can’t wait to be involved” said the group.
“It is amazing to go back and perform at a Show I have such a strong connection to, and for the girls to be joining me. HOYS really is “The World’s Most Famous Horse Show” and I can’t wait to get back there” added Corrin.
Helena Pettit, managing director of Grandstand Media said: “It is wonderful to have The HoneyBuns performing at HOYS this year. They are very talented young ladies and we look forward to watching them live during the finale on Sunday evening”.
